Job summary

Horrocks invites a Senior Transit Planner or Project Manager to join our growing planning team, leading transit and multimodal transportation planning across the mountain west. You will collaborate with clients including transit agencies, state DOTs, MPOs, and cities, and help expand our reach in new regions.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of experience, strong writing and data analysis skills, GIS proficiency, and a collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in urban planning or a closely related field is required.
• Master’s degree in planning or similar field is preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Experience with public transit and other public agencies is desired.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with initiative to turn ideas into action.
• Familiarity with GIS data, analysis, and visualization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage transit and transportation planning studies and projects.
• Support client maintenance and business development efforts.
• Coordinate transit alignment, NEPA planning, corridor plans, and active transportation plans.
• Analyze transportation, land use, equity, and economic data to produce recommendations.
• Prepare technical deliverables and visuals for planning documents.
• Assist Public Engagement with virtual and in-person outreach.
• Communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
