Job summary

MTM Transit seeks a Manager of Operations to lead drivers, dispatchers, and operations staff. You will implement safety guidelines, train personnel, and ensure contract compliance while coordinating with the client on updates and system upgrades.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in transit ops, ADA/DOT/FTA knowledge, and a valid driver’s license. This role emphasizes leadership, coaching, and strategic staffing in a demanding transportation environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in transit operations.
• Experience in Para-Transit or livery operations preferred.
• Experience supervising hourly personnel in passenger transport.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of ADA, DOT, FTA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Drivers, Dispatchers, and operations staff for safe, efficient operation.
• Train and update policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Lead monthly Safety meetings.
• Perform driver evaluations per contract and regulatory requirements (ADA/DOT/FTA).
• Communicate with client for updates and system upgrades.
• Coach staff and monitor performance.
• Ensure contract compliance and develop short/long-term location strategies.
• Review and update policies and procedures.
