Job summary

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority is seeking a Supervisory and Administrative professional to manage day-to-day bus and rail transportation operations. You will coordinate supervision, operational control, and administrative staff to deliver transit services while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local rules.

The role requires independent work and reporting on results to the General Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in transit program administration.
  • Experience supervising professional and support staff.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees scheduling and assignment of vehicles and personnel for regular and special runs.
  • Monitors supervisor/control and attendance; coordinates staffing, payroll and records.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations governing transit operations.
  • Investigates accidents and prepares detailed reports; supports safety programs.
  • Liaisons with vendors, project teams and the public to minimize service disruptions.
