Job summary

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority seeks a property management leader to operate and manage NFTA facilities and commercial properties. You will oversee maintenance staff, external contractors, and tenant relations across multiple NFTA sites, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and timely project delivery.

Responsibilities include budgeting, preventive maintenance, leasing administration, and supervision of the property management team to protect assets and public safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree required and five (5) years of experience in building or facility management; three (3) years supervisory experience.
• Ten (10) years of experience in building or facility management with three (3) years supervisory experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Administration and Management of Property Department, including maintenance objectives and policies.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and manage maintenance, repair, renovation, and remodeling activities.
• Plan and administer facility maintenance budgets and long-range capital improvement programs.
• Manage leasing and rental of NFTA properties, market space, secure tenants, and administer leases.
• Direct real estate activities: negotiation, acquisition, leasing, licensing, easement, and other property transactions.
• Review contracts, leases, work orders, invoices, and project documents for compliance.
• Oversee surplus property program and documentation per NYS Public Authority Law.
• Maintain communication with tenants, employees, contractors, and service staff.
