Job summary

Blue River Services, Inc. seeks an experienced Transportation Manager to oversee public transit operations, supervise drivers, and ensure safe, compliant service.

The role includes coordinating training, maintaining regulatory compliance, and managing daily transportation activities in alignment with agency policies. Responsibilities include driver supervision, scheduling, fare handling oversight, and ongoing staff development, with training transitions between Corydon and New Albany as location

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• Minimum five years of paid competitive employment experience.
• Minimum of three years of managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate transit vehicles as needed to support safe and timely passenger transportation.
• Supervise all Transit System Drivers, including hiring support, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation policies, DOT regulations, and agency procedures.
• Coordinate and provide ongoing training for transportation staff, including CPR/First Aid, defensive driving, passenger assistance, and compliance training.
• Oversee scheduling and daily transportation operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Address customer service issues related to transportation services, scheduling, and accessibility.
• Manage transportation program operations in accordance with agency policies and safety standards.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations for drivers.
