Job summary

Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) seeks a senior operations supervisor to help manage the transportation department. You will oversee daily bus operations, lead staffing and labor relations efforts, and coordinate operator training to improve safety and efficiency.

Budget adherence and reporting will be key parts of the role. Qualified candidates have 5+ years in public transit with 3+ years supervisory experience and a valid California driver's license.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in public transportation with at least three years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with training programs and safety initiatives is desirable.
• Possession of a valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily transportation operations to ensure consistency and efficiency within budget.
• Coordinate payroll adjustments, data reporting, and liaison with labor unions and other departments.
• Oversee training programs for operators and staff, including program effectiveness evaluation.
• Supervise staff performance evaluations, discipline processes, and staffing decisions.
• Review and analyze programs, policies, and safety practices to improve operations.
• Represent the District at committees, audits, and meetings; assist with budget preparation and procurement.
