Job summary

Transdev is seeking an Assistance Maintenance Manager in Arcadia, CA to oversee mechanics, bus washers, utility staff and administrative personnel across a three‑shift operation. The role ensures maintenance of company and client equipment, safety policy implementation, budget participation, and coordination with outside vendors.

Qualifying candidates have a high school diploma or GED, CDL Class B with endorsements preferred, and 7+ years in heavy‑duty vehicle maintenance with supervisory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with able to obtain required licensure.
• CDL Class B license with passenger and airbrake endorsements preferred.
• 7+ years of maintenance/repair experience on heavy‑duty transit equipment.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and schedule Maintenance Technicians.
• Approve priority of maintenance and repairs based on materials and schedule.
• Coordinate and oversee work by outside vendors.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and operating efficiently.
• Assist with physical inventory and payroll-related tasks.
• Implement safety policies per corporate requirements.
• Participate in budget development and administration.
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery methods.
• Monitor daily fuel uploads and PMI schedules.
• Familiar with invoice coding, processing, and payroll.
• Monitor attendance and issue disciplinary actions.
• Conduct tailgates and monthly safety meetings.
• Travel outside the immediate area up to 5%.
