Job summary

LTD Lane Transit District in Eugene, OR is seeking a highly experienced Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead a diverse maintenance team responsible for 100+ transit buses and 30+ non-revenue vehicles. You will plan, assign, monitor, and direct fleet work, oversee safety and regulatory compliance, and help shape department goals and budgets.

The role requires substantial experience in diesel, hybrid, and battery electric vehicle maintenance, plus strong supervisory and data-management skills.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of progressively responsible transit vehicle maintenance experience (or related heavy equipment), including diesel, hybrid, and battery electric vehicles.
• At least two (2) years of supervisor experience.
• Associates degree in Applied Science, i.e. Automotive/Diesel Technology, electronics, Engineering, etc., or graduation from an approved technical, trade or vocational school.
• Demonstrated experience developing operation manuals, policies, and procedures

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and supervise maintenance and repair of a diverse fleet of transit coaches and support vehicles; prepare repair schedules and prioritize work.
• Maintain and evaluate maintenance records and reports; analyze data; help develop divisional policies and plans.
• Develop and schedule preventative maintenance programs; revise department operating procedures.
• Manage and update information in maintenance management system; monitor data quality.
• Assist in administering contracts and the collective bargaining agreement.
• Participate in the selection process of department personnel; provide direction to a multi-functional team.
