Job summary

HNTB Corporation seeks a Design Manager (Transit) to lead teams on major design-build transit projects. This officer-level role requires extensive collaboration with contractors and a proven track record delivering mega projects on time and to budget.

You will manage staffing, budgets, and schedules, guide pursuit activities for mega opportunities, and mentor junior staff while working across multiple offices with travel expected to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 12 years of relevant experience including 6 years of experience successfully managing and delivering mega and/or super mega projects.
• Master's degree and 25 years relevant experience, Professional Engineer (PE) certification in multiple states
• DBIA certification and PMP may be preferred

Responsibilities

• Develops and nurtures key client relationships and is the primary company contact on assigned projects.
• Responsible for financial performance on projects, managing cash, budget, schedule and scope.
• Staff projects according to the project Work Plan and collaborate with leadership to staff.
• Lead pursuits of mega projects and develop long-term strategies with clients and pursuit teams.
• Mentor and supervise project staff and oversee project managers as needed.
