Job summary

Sound Transit is seeking a senior project manager to lead high-capacity transit corridor design and environmental reviews in partnership with local governments, community groups, and citizens. You will oversee scope, budget, and schedules, coordinating with civil and system engineers, construction management, real estate, and outreach teams to ensure timely policy decisions and project approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Transportation, Public Administration, or closely related field.
• Six years of public transit related experience in project management of urban design, community planning, public involvements, engineering, architecture; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to Puget Sound cities for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews work of assigned staff; coordinates schedules and programs.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with local/state/federal officials and community stakeholders; negotiates third party agreements.
• Manages design budget, environmental review, and consultant contracts for corridor projects.
