Job summary

Sound Transit is seeking a seasoned construction management professional to oversee contracts and third-party agreements across multiple projects in a hybrid office/field environment. You will support project development, prepare contract documents for solicitation, monitor safety, quality, cost, and schedule, and report on project status while ensuring compliance with codes and agency policies.

Under general direction, you will lead staff and consultants, manage budgets and change orders,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or closely related field.
• Five years of experience in construction supervision, construction contract administration, or engineering project management, preferably in heavy civil, transit, buildings, structural or underground construction; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate staff, consultants, and contractors for assigned projects; monitor site conditions, safety, and incidents.
• Manage construction and construction management contracts; budget, cost, and schedule control; ensure scope adherence.
• Review constructability and biddability across documents, plans, and specifications; identify conflicts and missing information.
• Oversee contractor/submittals, RFIs, and field clarifications; ensure quality control and code compliance.
• Coordinate with project teams to expedite problem solving and avoid delays and prepare status reports.
