Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee and manage projects in the transit sector. You will ensure compliance with specifications, monitor schedules and budgets, and liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver quality results.

The role emphasizes field experience, risk assessment, and coordination across multiple teams, with a competitive salary and ESOP benefits. Located in the Washington, D.C.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Ten years of construction or related engineering experience, with at least two years in the transit industry.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
• Physical ability to access locations and perform hands-on inspection, if required.
• Must have previous field experience.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction certification.

Responsibilities

• Support overall Project Manager by executing project management responsibilities for respective discipline, including developing hours estimates and scope.
• Oversee sub-tasks within their discipline for a project.
• Maintain familiarity with plans, specifications, construction schedules, and contractor's plans.
• Provide general engineering/project management support to the client’s project implementation team.
• Offer technical expertise related to engineering, constructability, cost estimates, schedules, and change requests.
• Coordinate engineering and implementation according to plans and specs.
• Document and oversee processes to ensure conformance with client procedures and project requirements.
• Evaluate design and construction for risks and alternatives.
