Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) seeks a Project Manager to lead transportation and infrastructure projects from our Hunt Valley, MD office. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client relationships while delivering high-quality, on-time results.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited university.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in transportation, infrastructure, structural, or civil engineering project delivery.
• 3+ years of managing projects, project teams, coordinating with subconsultants, budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Maryland.
• Experience delivering projects for state, local, or federal transportation agencies.
• Strong project management skills, including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Manage transportation and infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction support, with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management.
• Serve as the primary client contact, build trusted relationships, and support responsive communication throughout the life of each project.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, designers, planners, technical specialists, subconsultants, and support staff.
• Develop and manage project work plans, staffing plans, budgets, schedules, invoicing, and change management documentation.
• Coordinate preparation of technical deliverables, contract documents, cost estimates, specifications, permits, and construction phase services.
• Monitor project performance, identify issues early, and implement practical solutions to maintain quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.
• Mentor and support staff development while encouraging collaboration, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, client meetings, scope development, and pursuit strategy.
