Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Construction Manager to lead large, complex transportation projects with values over $500M, based in the Seattle area. The role requires a PE license and a civil engineering degree, with 15+ years of transit project experience.

You will oversee project teams, manage bid and preconstruction activities, and ensure compliance with schedule, budget, and safety standards across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• PE licensure required.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• 15+ years of experience on large, complex transit projects (> $500M).
• 4–5 years executing technical aspects of mid-to-large projects (APD).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of large, complex construction projects as client liaison and lead project teams.
• Mentor staff and document lessons learned within CM group.
• Support recruitment by screening candidates and assisting HR with offers.
• Supervise design-phase constructability and sequencing reviews.
• Manage bid phase activities: pre-bid meetings, inquiries, addenda, bid evaluations, award recommendations.
• Direct preconstruction planning and review contract documents for readiness.
