Job summary

STV Incorporated in Chicago seeks a Senior Resident Engineer / Construction Manager to lead our Transit & Rail Construction Management practice in the Chicago region. You will oversee major projects, mentor teams, and build client relationships while driving business growth.

Responsibilities include coordinating stakeholders, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring safety and quality standards across complex transit and rail projects. PE/CCM/PMP are preferred; strong leadership crucial.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in resident engineering and/or construction management focused on transit/rail projects.
• Proven experience leading complex construction projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of contracts, project controls, scheduling, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, contractors, designers, and stakeholders.
• Lead delivery of transit/rail construction projects ensuring quality, safety, schedule, and budget targets.
• Mentor multidisciplinary project teams including inspectors, engineers, safety and quality managers, and subconsultants.
