Cox Fleet is seeking a Sr Shop Trailer Mechanic (DOT) for an on-site, day shift position. The role focuses on certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and complex trailer repairs in a shop setting. Tools and diagnostics expertise are essential for high-quality service.

Applicants must have a HS diploma/GED and at least 5 years in related work, plus a valid CDL and DOT readiness. This is an on-site role with strong safety and compliance expectations at Cox Fleet locations.

Formación

• HS diploma or GED with 5 years in trailer/vehicle repair or related field.
• 3 years of reefer experience.
• Must pass DOT/FMCSA rules and DOT physical requirements.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Perform certified DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on trailers.
• Diagnose and repair light, medium, and heavy-duty trailer systems.
• Document work orders with pictures and RO data using company software.
• Coordinate with shop staff and service writers for parts and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies.
