Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring a Sr. Shop Trailer Technician for on-site work. The role focuses on certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex trailer repairs in a dedicated shop environment.

You will perform brakes, air lines, pumps, engines, liftgates, welding, and panel work, while maintaining safety and quality standards. The candidate should have a HS diploma with 5+ years in a related field, ASE certifications preferred, and be capable of advanced diagnostics and triage on

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED with related experience.
• DOT regulations knowledge and the ability to perform certified inspections is required.
• Experience with trailer maintenance and diagnostics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on trailers.
• Execute light and advanced repairs in a shop setting.
• Document work and upload RO photos using company tools.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work area.
• Collaborate with service writers to clarify repair requirements.
