Cox Fleet is hiring a Sr. Shop Trailer Mechanic for an on-site shop position. You will perform certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and a range of trailer repairs. Lead on jobsites, provide diagnostics, and ensure work aligns with company standards.

The role requires high attention to safety, adherence to DOT and FMCSA regulations, and collaboration with service writers and parts staff. Relocation not specified; strong hands-on skills preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' related experience (or equivalent).
• OEM training and certifications preferred.
• DOT/regulatory pre-employment screening and DOT physical may be required.
• Valid Driver's license; 21+ years old per regulations.

Responsabilités

• Perform certified DOT inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Execute repairs on light to heavy-duty trailers and related systems.
• Diagnose, triage, and repair complex issues on trailers and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain safety, accuracy, and documentation on Repair Orders (RO).
• Interact with Shop Parts Department and Service Writer to ensure parts and approvals.
