Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking a maintenance technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on trailers in a Miami-area facility. The role requires inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and servicing equipment, with a focus on safety compliance per FMCSA and related regulations.

You will interpret work orders and manuals, replace defective parts, and test equipment to ensure proper performance and adherence to manufacturer specifications. Flexibility for varying shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have GED or high school diploma.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Minimum one year of experience or completion of trade school.
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Must own tools.
• FMCSA/ safety and CDL/MVR requirements if driving.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on trailers.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and service equipment.
• Conduct safety inspections and document compliance per FMCSA and regulations.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts and systems.
• Test repaired equipment to meet manufacturer specs and regulations.
• Maintain flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
