Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking skilled trailer maintenance technicians to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on our fleet. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and service equipment, ensuring compliance with FMCSA and safety regulations.

The role requires the ability to read work orders and manuals, repair or replace defective parts, and test equipment to meet manufacturer specifications. You must be capable of lifting up to 70 lbs and be prepared for flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background required.
• Must be 17+ years old.
• 1+ year experience and/or completion of trade school; or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Knowledge of general repairs and PM criteria.
• Mechanical ability and interest in electronics/precision equipment.
• Able to lift ~70 lbs and work in awkward positions.
• Valid CDL and acceptable MVR if driving publicly.
• Drug screen and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on trailers.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain equipment.
• Conduct safety inspections and prepare FMCSA and other regulatory documents.
• Interpret work orders and manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts and systems.
• Test equipment after repair for compliance with specs.
