Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking a trailer maintenance technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on its fleet. The role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and maintaining equipment to ensure safe, compliant operation.

You will interpret work orders, replace defective parts, and test performance to meet manufacturer specs and FMCSA and other regulations. You must be able to lift heavy loads and adapt to various shifts and conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Minimum one year experience and/or trade school completion, or equivalent.
• Able to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Knowledge of general repairs and preventive maintenance criteria.
• Ability to keep up with changing technology and updates.
• Mechanical ability and interest in electronics and precision equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and work in various positions.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for repairs and preventive maintenance of trailers.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and prepare safety documentation as required.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
