Job summary

Nubank is seeking a senior engineer to own and advance the traffic management platform, ensuring reliability, scalability and security across services. You will drive service mesh evolution, observability, and incident readiness while enabling product teams to move fast without compromising stability.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, and partner teams, apply IAM, DNS, and routing best practices, and push for innovative AI-enabled workflows while maintaining high-quality standards

Qualifications

• Experience operating large-scale distributed systems in the cloud with load balancers, TLS/mTLS and routing.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes-based infrastructure and IaC tooling (Pulumi/Terraform).
• Uses AI in daily engineering workflows with focus on safety and quality.
• Led end-to-end infra projects from design to production go-live with clear milestones.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end milestones on the traffic platform from problem definition to rollout.
• Analyze options and trade-offs balancing reliability, performance, and security.
• Ensure stability and quality with tests and observability; handle incidents and postmortems.
• Collaborate with engineers, product and partner teams to translate needs into technical plans.
• Use AI responsibly to investigate issues, write/review code, and automate repetitive tasks.
