Job summary

STV in South Carolina is seeking a Traffic Discipline Leader for Columbia or North Charleston to guide traffic engineering projects across NC/SC and other U.S. markets.

You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, support state DOTs, local governments, and private clients, while mentoring staff and contributing to business development. A PE license and 10+ years in the field are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• 10+ years of relevant traffic engineering experience.
• PE license with SC licensure by comity or ability to obtain.
• Experience in traffic signal design, timing, and safety analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, analysis, design, and delivery of traffic engineering and ITS projects, including signals, lighting, ADA improvements, signing, and pavement marking.
• Oversee traffic operations studies: capacity, warrants, speed studies, and parking analyses.
• Develop PS&E for state and local agencies and prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, staffing, coordination, and technical delivery.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver concurrent projects.
• Mentor junior staff and review deliverables for quality.
