Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to lead the traffic engineering discipline in the Delmarva region. The role focuses on winning work, building a team, and delivering technically sound traffic solutions for public-sector clients.

You will drive business development, manage projects, mentor staff, and perform analyses, design, and reviews on active assignments. The ideal candidate has extensive traffic engineering experience and strong leadership abilities.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• PE license required; PTOE preferred.
• 12+ years of traffic/transportation engineering experience.
• Proven ability to manage projects and client relationships.
• Experience with traffic analysis and design software such as Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, AutoCAD, or MicroStation.
• Experience with Maryland DOT, DelDOT, county, or municipal projects is strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Support business development efforts through project pursuits, proposals, and client coordination.
• Seek and pursue traffic support service contracts to build a portfolio of traffic-related work in Maryland and Delaware.
• Manage contracts, projects, and tasks for traffic engineering assignments.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Prepare and review traffic engineering analyses, including traffic impact studies, operational analyses, and safety evaluations.
• Develop and review traffic signal plans, signing and pavement marking plans, and other traffic design elements.
• Perform and review traffic capacity and operational analyses using industry-standard tools.
• Review and interpret traffic data, including turning movement counts and field observations.
• Prepare and review technical reports, memoranda, exhibits, and agency submissions.
• Support junior staff through technical guidance and mentoring.
• Assist with construction administration and respond to field issues as needed.
