Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) is seeking a Bridge Project Engineer for its Maryland or Delaware offices. Join a collaborative team working on transportation projects for federal, state, local and private clients.

Ideal candidates will hold a PE and have public-sector experience in Maryland, Delaware and/or Virginia. GPI offers a long-standing, multi-discipline engineering culture with employee empowerment and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering is required.
• MS degree is preferred.
• PE licensure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analyses, evaluations and designs with supporting calculations.
• Review structural documents for multidisciplinary conflicts.
• Develop plans, specifications and estimates for bridge projects.
• Perform quality control reviews of work products by junior engineers.
• Assist planning and management of bridge inspection, design and rehabilitation projects.
• Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
• Lead routine bridge inspections for state and local agencies.
• Manage load rating computations for structures owned by state and local agencies.
• Develop and coordinate design recommendation reports.
• Oversee bridge hydrology and hydraulics analyses.
