Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join a large team of traffic engineers in the Fairfax/Richmond/Virginia Beach area. Projects range from local safety and multimodal work to large freeway improvements, with strong growth potential in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include traffic design and studies such as work zone traffic control, signing and pavement markings, traffic signals, ITS and operations analyses. Flexible hours and part-time telework are available.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering is required.
• PE license preferred, PTOE preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of traffic engineering experience.
• VDOT, MDOT, MDTA and/or design-build experience preferred.
• MicroStation proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and analysis for traffic-related tasks in a team setting.
• Collaborate with roadway, structures, hydraulics and environmental groups.
• Manage various traffic-related tasks and schedules.
• Prepare design and cost estimates, meet with clients and assist proposals.
