Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Senior ITS Engineer to lead ITS design across multiple Mid-Atlantic offices, including Fairfax, VA. You will guide traffic engineering efforts, mentor engineers, and coordinate with roadway, structures, hydraulics, and environmental teams.

Strong leadership, client management, and business development are essential. Ideal candidates have 10+ years ITS/traffic experience, a BS in Civil Engineering, PE license, MicroStation skills, and knowledge of VDOT/MDOT standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license required or in process.
• Minimum 10 years ITS/traffic engineering experience.
• VDOT/MDOT or design-build experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform various ITS related tasks as noted above
• Lead and mentor a group of traffic engineers
• Collaborate with roadway, structures, hydraulics, and environmental groups within our Transportation business unit.
• Prepare scopes of work, schedules, and fee proposals
• Meet with clients
• Participate in business development
