CME Associates in East Brunswick, NJ is seeking a Traffic Engineer to join our Traffic & Transportation group. You will work on a diverse mix of projects for state, county, municipal and private clients, performing traffic analyses, design, and planning.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil or Traffic Engineering, a NJ PE, 4+ years of traffic engineering experience, and proficiency with Synchro, HCS, ITE Trip and Parking, AutoCAD and MicroStation. PTOE certification is a plus.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or a related field.
New Jersey Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
4+ years of progressive experience in traffic engineering, including traffic analysis, signal/intersection design, safety analysis, and transportation planning.

Mansioni

Perform traffic analyses and studies using industry-standard software.
Design traffic signals, intersections, signage, pavement markings, striping, and lighting per NJDOT, MUTCD, and local standards.
Prepare transportation planning deliverables such as MPT plans, detour and staging plans, and transportation management strategies.
Develop reports and permit applications to meet NJDOT/NJTA/AASHTO requirements.
Produce construction plans, specifications, and engineer’s estimates using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Review traffic studies and represent Municipal Planning and Zoning Boards at public meetings as Municipal Traffic Engineer.
