Job summary

Dynamic Engineering Consultants, PC seeks a Project Manager for traffic analysis and design leadership in New Jersey. You will oversee studies, coordinate with clients, manage teams, and pursue new work across transportation projects.

The role requires a PE, 7+ years in traffic engineering, and strong leadership. Expect collaboration with a national firm, testing procedures, and opportunities for growth within Dynamic’s multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration required.
• PTOE is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a personal and/or company vehicle.
• Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals.
• Traffic Signal design and timing experience.
• Signing and Striping Plans.
• Maintenance and Protection of Traffic.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.
• Familiar with AutoCAD.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Independent and critical thinking abilities.
• Superior organizational and delegation ability.
• Ability to work and lead in a team oriented environment with a focus on staff development and mentoring.
• Client management experience.
• Experience in managing complex programs and projects.
• Proven leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Project Manager in developing traffic studies and design plans including infrastructure, traffic signals, roadway lighting, signing, pavement marking, construction sequencing, and traffic control plans.
• Lead project objectives, timelines, and budgets for traffic operations contracts.
• Prepare technical reports such as traffic impact analyses.
• Coordinate with clients and attend project meetings; provide testimony at hearings.
• Supervise engineers and personnel; mentor staff.
• Assist with major project pursuits and cultivate local client relationships to win work.
• Oversee and coordinate sub-consultants within the traffic discipline.
• Provide traffic engineering support to other divisions as needed.
• Model traffic using CORSIM, HCS, SYNCHRO, and VISSIM.
