Job summary

Pennoni Associates seeks an Associate Traffic Engineer to join our Haddon Heights, NJ office. You will work on highway and bridge projects, lead traffic studies, and support TMPs, TIS, ADA design, and signal/ pavement marking tasks.

Ideal candidates have 4–8 years of experience, a BS in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred), and proficiency with Synchro, HCM, VISSIM, SIDRA, and MicroStation/AutoCAD. PE licensure desirable; PTOE a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• 4–8 years of relevant work experience in traffic engineering.
• Proficiency with MS Office; experience with traffic software and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with complex traffic engineering tasks on highway and bridge projects.
• Lead and develop traffic studies and highway occupancy permits.
• Sign and pavement marking design.
• Develop Maintenance of Traffic schemes and traffic control plans.
• Develop TMPs and TIS, ADA and curb ramp design.
• Engage with NJDOT and public sector clients; build client relationships.
• Provide technical guidance to staff (e.g., CADD).
