RoadSafe Traffic Systems is hiring a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction zones and maintain safety for workers and the public. The role involves setting up and removing traffic control devices, and using signals to guide motorists through work areas.

The position requires standing outdoors for extended periods, the ability to lift heavy items, travel statewide, and occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass a background check including motor vehicle records.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear proper safety equipment (boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, vest).
• Operate 2-way radio and communicate effectively with contractors and internal teams.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and traffic settings.
• Excellent attendance and reliable transportation required.
• Willingness to travel statewide with occasional overnight stays.
• Rotating on-call schedule available.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and devices to divert traffic.
• Manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Communicate clearly with team using radios.
• Stand and walk for long periods; work outdoors in varied weather.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
