Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction zones, set up signs and barricades, and help ensure safety for workers and the public. The role requires standing for long periods and outdoor work in various weather conditions.

Excellent attention to detail is essential, with duties including communicating with motorists, assisting with equipment setup, and traveling statewide as needed.

Qualifications

• Must pass background check including motor vehicle records check.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• ATSSA Flagger training completed.
• Defensive Driver training completed.
• Willingness to travel statewide, with occasional overnight stays.
• Rotating on-call schedule, nights and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices around work areas to divert traffic.
• Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Maintain clear communication with team members using two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment to job sites.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
