Raymond James in Jersey City, NJ, is seeking an Associate Director of Trading Technology to lead trader-facing systems and evolve the TDOE platform. This hands-on technology leader will partner with trading, product, operations, and architecture teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions that meet regulatory requirements and drive trading efficiency.

The role combines strategic roadmap work with hands-on coaching of Engineering Managers, Software Engineers, and QA professionals,

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive experience leading software engineering and technology teams for mission-critical trading platforms.
Deep knowledge of wealth management trading operations and order management processes.
Experience with trader-facing applications and front-office trading systems.
Strong understanding of order lifecycle management from entry to post-trade.
Proven ability to translate complex trading workflows into scalable tech solutions.

Responsibilities

Own the Raymond James Trade Desk Order Entry platform delivering strategic leadership.
Define and execute a roadmap aligning with trader productivity and regulatory requirements.
Lead requirements discovery, solution design, and cross-functional collaboration.
Drive modernization efforts including UI updates and API enablement.
Ensure platform reliability, performance, and security across engineering, QA, SRE, and operations.
Mentor and develop high-performing teams and communicate with executives.
