Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Trade Compliance Officer to lead the export compliance program under the Trade Compliance Leadership.

You will oversee licensing, training, and recordkeeping to ensure adherence to US regulations and internal policies. The role requires deep ITAR/EAR knowledge, cross‑functional collaboration with Security, Purchasing, Contracts and Legal, and interaction with external consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, international trade, law or related field required.
• Minimum 12+ years of export administration experience with aerospace/defense entities.
• Experience with U.S. Government entities and international customers or brokers.
• Experience working with external Trade Compliance consultants.

Responsibilities

• Oversee licensing compliance and coordinate with cross functional areas.
• Perform quarterly and annual risk assessments and advise on mitigations.
• Lead DDTC risk assessment program per guidelines.
• Work with outside Trade Compliance consultants and external auditors.
• Maintain export compliance records and document retention.
• Develop and deliver export training and maintain training logs.
• Supervise TC team activities and audit compliance to procedures.
• Provide guidance to BD/PM organizations on trade compliance during proposals.
