Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. seeks a Trade Compliance Officer to lead the day-to-day export compliance program within the AV organization.

You will oversee licensing activities and coordinate with Security, Purchasing, Contracts, and Legal to ensure adherence to ITAR and EAR and internal policy. The role includes risk assessments, training development, records management, and collaboration with external consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business, international trade, law or related field.
• 12+ years of export administration experience in aerospace/defense or government.
• Experience with ITAR/EAR and interactions with U.S. government entities and external consultants.

Responsibilities

• Oversee licensing compliance and coordinate with Security, Purchasing, P&C, Contracts and Legal.
• Perform quarterly and annual self-assessments with corrective actions for risk mitigation.
• Conduct annual risk assessments per DDTC guidelines.
• Collaborate with external TC consultants, auditors and legal counsel as directed by leadership.
• Maintain export compliance records in line with US export regulations.
