Job summary

SYSTRA USA seeks aSenior Track Design Engineer to join our Civil/Infrastructure team in the Northeast United States. The role emphasizes rail transit track and alignment design, leading technical work, ensuring standards compliance, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

You will plan and design track alignments using Bentley OpenRail Designer, review specifications, manage scope and budget, mentor staff, and contribute to proposals.

Qualifications

• Leadership and communications skills to supervise and mentor subordinates.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Proficiency in Project Management, design, inspection, and construction of transit/railroad track projects.
• Experience making decisions and recommendations with extensive impact.
• Ability to negotiate critical issues with wide impact.
• Ability to solve complex technical design problems.
• Ability to make independent judgments on engineering problems and methods.
• Travel willingness to national and international locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and perform engineering and design of vertical and horizontal rail transit track and alignments.
• Plan and design track alignments following standards and laws using Bentley OpenRail Designer.
• Manage assigned project work including scope, schedule, and budget with milestone reporting.
• Review and seal drawings as required, if licensed.
• Assist with technical proposals and cost proposals for new projects.
• Support business development and client relations in public transportation and rail.
