Job summary

SYSTRA USA is seeking a Design Build Project Manager in the Systems & Power Sector to lead multi-discipline rail projects from our New York project office. You will coordinate design-build teams, manage schedules, budgets, and client interfaces across transit disciplines including signal, traction power, track, and safety integration.

The role requires 15–20+ years in rail/Transit projects, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Requires a four-year degree in civil engineering.
• 15–20+ years of relevant experience on multi-discipline rail projects.
• Experience managing/leading multi-discipline transit and rail design projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with different project delivery methods.
• Experience leading large groups in multidisciplined specialties.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and multi-discipline design-build coordination.
• Manage schedule delivery for Final Design Documents.
• Contract management including change orders.
• Lead monthly project reviews with cost reporting and budget control.
• Track financials and ensure work stays on schedule.
• Serve as client interface; attend weekly meetings; field visits may be required.
• Manage risk by negotiating out-of-scope requests.
• Quality control for 50+ deliverable packages.
• Oversee construction activities such as RFIs and submittal reviews.
• Lead and mentor large teams in complex projects.
