Job summary

Benesch is seeking a licensed Project Engineer for the Civil/Track Design group within its Rail services. The role offers a hybrid schedule with offices in multiple cities including Charlotte, NC, and opportunities to contribute to Class I, short-line, and commuter rail projects.

You will design and engineer rail and transit systems, collaborate with engineers and technicians, and support project managers across a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 5+ years of rail/transit experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads/OpenRail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a track design engineer on projects of various scales.
• Support track and civil discipline leads on major infrastructure projects.
• Conduct quantity take-offs for track and civil components.
• Contribute to development of technical specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional design teams.
• Provide support to Project Managers.
