Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a Senior Manager of Technical Program Management to lead a team of TPMs across Data Infrastructure, Reliability Engineering, and Developer Experience. You will drive multi-org programs, align dependencies, and push for AI-ready data platforms with strong governance.

You will partner with senior ICs and engineering directors to set strategy, manage risk, and deliver high-impact infrastructure initiatives that keep the platform robust and scalable while driving operational

Qualifications

• 12+ years in technical program management, software engineering, or SRE.
• 5+ years leading and mentoring TPMs or TPM managers.
• Strong track record delivering multi-quarter, multi-team platform migrations.
• Experience with distributed data systems, cloud infra, or observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of TPMs driving multi-org programs across Data Infrastructure, Reliability Engineering, and Developer Experience.
• Shape technical direction and drive phased rollouts with clear exit criteria.
• Align teams, identify dependencies, and mitigate risks to achieve business goals.
• Collaborate with data, infrastructure, and product teams across Airbnb to deliver robust, scalable platforms.
• Hire, develop, and coach senior TPMs and set operating standards for planning and reporting.
• Present outcomes to senior leadership and ensure transparency of trade-offs and risks.
