Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager with deep security and infrastructure expertise to lead critical security initiatives across cloud and data platforms. You will partner with security, infrastructure engineers and senior leaders to define strategy, drive requirements, and ensure secure, scalable delivery.

You will navigate ambiguity, own outcomes, and influence cross‑functional teams to protect the platform while enabling rapid, secure innovation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of work experience with at least 8 years as a TPM or in a similar role.
• Hands‑on technical depth in security and infrastructure.
• Strong ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience with identity and access management, network security, encryption, and cloud data protection.
• Familiar with incremental delivery, deployment, and secure configuration practices.

Responsibilities

• Shape and influence the technical direction of infrastructure security projects.
• Balance broad, outcome‑driven thinking with attention to critical details.
• Define and secure stakeholder alignment on clear, measurable success criteria for security initiatives.
• Maintain transparent communication with progress, risks and opportunities.
• Present outcomes and updates to senior leadership with clear trade‑offs and risks.
