Job summary

Manulife John Hancock is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to bring structure and momentum to complex technology initiatives within New Business and Underwriting. You will partner with engineering, architecture, product, operations, and external partners to drive delivery and governance.

You will anticipate risks, resolve blockers, and help teams translate complex requirements into measurable business and technology outcomes across the full lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical program management or related leadership roles.
• Strong insurance industry knowledge, especially underwriting processes.
• Proven ability to drive multiple cross-functional initiatives from planning to delivery.
• Excellent communication and coordination across tech and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, prioritization, and execution of tech initiatives across New Business and Underwriting.
• Manage complex programs through full delivery lifecycle and post-launch reviews.
• Define scope, objectives, milestones, and governance with stakeholders.
• Coordinate across engineering, product, security, risk, and partners.
• Maintain integrated delivery plans with milestones, dependencies, and resources.
• Identify and mitigate risks, blockers, and dependencies; escalate when needed.
• Facilitate planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives with clear owners.
