Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a Technical Program Manager in Boston to lead technology-driven initiatives across life insurance priorities. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, business administration, or related field.
• 3-5 years of technical program management expertise in related field.
• 3+ years delivering technology solutions in the life insurance industry (required).
• 3+ years experience in health/wellness/behavioral insurance markets and product development, distribution or marketing.
• Experience with Agile and SDLC; familiarity with regulatory/compliance considerations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SDLC for initiatives supporting John Hancock priorities across policyholder, producer, and operations journeys.
• Accountable for initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closure, and post-initiative evaluation to meet scope, budget, and schedule.
• Apply technical expertise to implement technology strategies and ensure effective software delivery.
• Provide cross-functional leadership and align product architecture with IT service areas; manage technical risk.
• Collaborate with initiative leads to define milestones, scope, and technology components; ensure traceability and delivery.
