Job summary

Amperesand in Reno, NV seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager, Compliance to own compliance across the solid-state transformer portfolio. This on-site role sits at the intersection of engineering, regulatory requirements, quality, and operations — embedding compliance into development to protect Amperesand's path to market.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of technical program management or regulatory/compliance experience in power electronics/hardware.
• Experience managing product certifications to safety and EMC standards (UL 1741, IEC 62109, FCC Part 15, CE/UKCA).
• Familiarity with EVT/DVT/PVT and how compliance activities integrate with each phase.
• Strong cross-functional leadership to align engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations around milestones.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%, including international locations, for lab testing and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end compliance program with planning, coordination, and certification activities across UL, CE, FCC, IEC, NEC, IEEE, and grid interconnection standards.
• Define milestone-driven compliance roadmaps aligned with product development timelines (EVT, DVT, PVT).
• Manage relationships with external test labs, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies.
• Drive sample submissions, track findings, manage responses, and ensure audit readiness.
• Identify and mitigate compliance risks early, surfacing design gaps for timely resolution.
• Provide clear executive status updates on certification progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Integrate compliance requirements into product design with safety and EMC considerations.
• Collaborate with supply chain on RoHS/REACH/PFAS, AVLs, and component qualification.
• Support DFM and design reviews with a regulatory lens.
• Maintain documentation and traceability: test reports, technical files, regulatory artifacts.
• Plan and coordinate internal test lab capabilities, equipment, and budgeting.
