Job summary

Amperesand in Reno/South Bay Area seeks a Director, Product Compliance to build and lead the compliance department for solid-state transformer platforms. You will own the full compliance program, including safety, cybersecurity, EMC/EMI, and certification, while guiding a hands-on technical team and coordinating with external labs.

This is a high-visibility role blending leadership with hands-on technical work, partnering with Engineering, Product, and executive teams to ensure certification

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product compliance or certification leadership.
• Proven ability to lead and scale a compliance team.
• Strong knowledge of UL 2877 and UL 1741 standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the Compliance Department and set priorities.
• Define and execute the overall product compliance strategy.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and executives to embed compliance in design.
• Manage certification planning, testing, and issue resolution with labs.
• Represent compliance to customers and certification bodies.
