Job summary

Amperesand in San Francisco seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager, Compliance to own all compliance program activities across SST portfolio, coordinating across engineering, quality, and operations to embed regulatory requirements.

You will manage certifications (UL, CE, FCC, IEC, NEC, IEEE), drive roadmaps, work with labs, and ensure on-time approvals while scaling production.

This on-site role offers equity and a path to market with a dynamic team in the growing solid-state transformer field.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in technical program management or regulatory affairs in power electronics.
• Experience managing product certifications to safety and EMC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the compliance program end-to-end across engineering, product, manufacturing, and quality.
• Define milestone-driven compliance roadmaps aligned with EVT/DVT/PVT timelines.
• Manage relationships with UL, TÜV, Intertek, and other labs and regulators.
• Oversee test submissions, open findings, and audit readiness.
• Identify risks early and partner with teams to resolve design gaps.
• Provide clear status updates on certification progress to execs.
• Integrate safety, EMC, creepage/clearance, and component approvals into design.
• Coordinate RoHS/REACH/PFAS and AVL activities with suppliers.
• Support DFM and design reviews with a regulatory perspective.
• Build and maintain compliance trackers and documentation systems.
• Plan equipment, budget, test plans, and internal lab capabilities.
