Job summary

Amperesand is seeking a Compliance Testing Engineer to lead compliance processes and ensure our products meet all regulatory requirements efficiently. You will be pivotal in defining pathways for product certification and engaging with NRTLs to enhance testing outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in compliance, a thorough understanding of complex standards, and a proactive approach to managing regulatory interpretations. This is an onsite role located in Reno, NV.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in safety engineering or regulatory affairs in power electronics.
• Expert knowledge of UL 1741‑SB, IEC 60730, and IEEE 1547.1.
• Proven experience negotiating positions with testing agencies like UL and CSA.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance testing function to meet global regulatory requirements.
• Serve as internal authority on complex standards.
• Manage relationships with certifying bodies like TUV and UL.
