Job summary

CompX National is seeking a talented Toolmaker/Precision Machinist for our Mauldin, SC location. You will build and repair tooling, read blueprints, and support engineering with prototype parts. Experience with wire EDM, CNC vertical mills, Haas and Bridgeport mills is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tool room experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong safety, operations and maintenance knowledge; ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair tooling and dies.
• Operate tool room equipment including wire EDM and CNC vertical, Haas mill, Bridgeport mill, grinders.
• Build fixtures, tooling, machine parts, etc., and form prints via reverse engineering.
• Fabricate jigs, tools, dies, and master tooling.
• Build prototype parts for Engineering.
• Operate Mastercam software and read blueprints.
