Job summary

CompX National in Mauldin, SC is seeking skilled Toolmakers / Precision Machinists to build and repair tooling and dies. You will operate wire EDM, CNC vertical mills (Haas, Bridgeport), and grinders, while fabricating fixtures and master tooling. Mastercam usage and blueprint interpretation are essential.

A strong safety mindset and initiative are required. Qualified candidates have 5+ years of tool room experience, a high school diploma or GED, and an associate degree in Machine Tool

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years tool room experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong safety, operations, and maintenance document knowledge.
• Solid troubleshooting skills for manufacturing equipment.
• Willingness to take initiative and be proactive.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair tooling and dies.
• Operate tool room equipment including wire EDM and CNC vertical, Haas mill, Bridgeport mill, grinders, etc.
• Build fixtures, tooling, machine parts, and reverse-engineer prints.
• Fabricate jigs, tools, dies, and master tooling.
• Build prototype parts for Engineering.
• Operate Mastercam software.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
