MAPAL Dr. Kress SE & Co. KG in Fountain Inn, SC, seeks an experienced CNC machinist to set up and operate multi-axis EDM or tool grinding machines, program tools, and ensure parts meet blueprint specifications.

You will use precision meters, read engineering drawings, follow MAPAL procedures, work across shifts if needed, and contribute to training, quality, and safety standards while maintaining logs and supporting continuous improvement.

Competenze

• Education/Experience/Training equivalent to a 2-4 year degree, or on-the-job training.
• Experience with multi-axis CNC grinding machinery (OD/EDM context).
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow MAPAL standards.

Mansioni

• Set up and operate CNC multi-axis EDM or tool grinding machines.
• Program and grind tools to blueprints per MAPAL standards.
• Measure and test tools with digital micrometers, calipers, and 3-axis devices.
• Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and work orders per ISO procedures.
• Perform routine inspections to maintain quality and meet customer specs.
• Inspect finished parts with precision tools to ensure tolerance compliance.
• Adjust speeds, feeds, and tooling for optimal performance.
• Maintain production logs, including defects and quality checks.
• Assist in training new operators and follow procedures.
• Keep work area clean and compliant with MAPAL standards.
• Adhere to safety policies and MAPAL behaviors.
