MAPAL Dr. Kress SE & Co. KG in Fountain Inn, South Carolina, is seeking a skilled machinist to set up and operate cut-off saws, CNC EDM sinks, and multi‑axis machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings.

You will measure parts with micrometers, calipers and gauges, interpret blueprints, and ensure work in line with MAPAL standards. The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, safe operation of equipment, willingness to work shifts and overtime, and commitment to

Competenze

• Previous machining/machine shop experience.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and instructions.
• Detail oriented with strong troubleshooting and process workflow skills.
• Good verbal and written communication; active listening.

Mansioni

• Set up and operate cut-off saws for material prep.
• Measure and test material per blueprints with digital micrometer, height gauge, caliper, and digital microscope.
• Program, set up and operate CNC EDM sink machines to produce precision parts.
• Program, set up and operate CNC multi-axis machines to produce precision parts.
• Program, set up and operate manual and CNC wheel dressing machines.
• Set up laser engraving to etch tool markings per MAPAL standards.
• Disassemble/assemble or dress grinder wheel packs as needed.
• Set up and operate surface grinder and edge honing machines.
• Produce parts per job router, print and capacity in the most efficient manner.
• Maintain and clean work area and equipment to MAPAL standards.
• Exhibit MAPAL behaviors per policy, quality and safety standards.
